Oh my

I decided to take the week of Christmas off just cause my job was killing me and I needed a break. Stupid car broke again. This time it was the brake line. Kinda need those. Well I wasn't too worried about it because I was off. Downfall, I had to rely on others to take me where I wanted to go. I was supposed to go back to work this past Friday but had no car. I called and told them that if they wanted me to come into work they would have to come and get me. Didn't happen so I had yet another day at home. TRAPPED!! You can only read so much, watch so many movies, play the piano for so long before your fingers get cramped or freeze. I was bored out of my freaking mind. So I called my dad and asked to borrow his truck. He said I could. Then Saturday morning on my way to work I was slowing down to turn and WHAM hit a huge piece of ice. Not only did I slide I spun around and around and around. I finally came to a stop when the back end was in a little ditch. I called work, which was a couple of blocks away to see if someone could come and help me. The little liar said no. So I rocked back and forth until I got out. Two rude people passed me and didn't offer any help. They were probably thinking that I deserved to be in the ditch because I was going too fast. I was barely going 15mph. Meany heads. Anywho, so once I got to work I signed in and noticed by my name "no call, no show" so apparently the phone call I made to see if someone could come and help me was for nothing. Good thing I have a sharpie and can mark it out.

Last night I went to a hockey game. We had five tickets so we needed to find two other people to go. Dustin was going to ask his friend Jesse to go but neither wanted to so then we asked my other brother Casey to see if him and his fiancee wanted to go. They didn't either. So I started calling around with my friends. Rebecca came. I called to see if she and her brother wanted to go but her brother had plans. So I called someone else. They were in Utah. Just getting off the slopes. Called another, now this was funny. So I called and asked if he had plans for the evening and he said he did, then he asked why. I told him and he sounded kind of bummed. Oh well. So then I called someone else and they too had plans. I had run out of people to call. I really need to get more guys' phone numbers in my phone. The girls that are in there probably would not of wanted to go. We had fun any way. The extra seat actually was a good thing since we had my niece. She played in it. She was actually really good considering that she is one and her bed time is 8pm and we didn't get out until close to 10. She did get a little crabby but she went back to daddy when she got that way. Nana couldn't even make her happy. When it is bedtime it is bedtime.

While there I was told that she sent a link to my blog to guy that I wrote about. I couldn't remember for the life if me what I had wrote but when I finally re-read it it was fine. A little embarrassing but alright. I guess it is my own fault for putting it on the internet. Oh well.

I have no clue

So far the last couple of weeks have been ok. Been going to work and chorale and church. Sad I know but what is a girl to do when guys don't ask for dates? I can answer that. They sit at home watching movies. It is sad when we have to live vicariously through movies or books or whatever. I would much rather be out doing something. I know that I get tired because of my job but I still like to go out and do things.

This past Sunday I have decided that I am going to live my life to the fullest, screw what anyone thinks. In October my mom and I auditioned for a play that the two stakes are putting on and we had a meeting last night. We are in the chorus and are part of a six women chorus. My mom said that something like that is really outside of her comfort zone. I said I know but she has mentioned on more than one occasion that she wanted to get out and do something. Either a exercise class or a crafty class, just something different. Well being in a musical is different. At the audition they asked everyone one of they would mind either singing a solo or have a speaking part. I told them I didn't want that but then I threw caution to the wind and said sure bring it on. Last night a total different story. As they were reading off the names of those with speaking parts my insides were going nuts. I knew that if they read my name I would throw up. I didn't so that went away pretty fast. I am really excited to be a part of this. I have tried out for other productions but if you haven't known the director for years or been in other productions you didn't stand a chance. I think for those they hold auditions because they have to. They already know who is going to have what part. They just have to go through the motions.

Today when I was leaving for work my check engine light came on. So I went back inside and got my brother and he tried to look at it but really how well can you see at 5:45am? I mean really. We couldn't even get the hood open because it was frozen shut. So he took me to work and told me to find a ride home. I knew that Casey was off today so I called him and told him what the problem was and he came and picked me up and then took my car to the mechanics. Sad thing though is that I won't have a car until Thursday at the earliest. I really hate having to rely on people to take me places. I want my freedom back!!!

So the Colorado Mormon Chorale has one out of three concerts under our belts for the 2007-2008 season. We did pretty good. We just have the one in Golden and the one in Parker. The one in Parker is probably going to be really packed because they just seem to love us. Even the mayor who is not a member comes. Pretty cool.
